I would make it totally stealthproof against the Spectre RDD, put the wonderful Tech/Spec mode on it, and offer a software upgrade for future bands that the LEOS may decide to use for speed enforcement.

I would buy this radar detector regardless of the price if...

Since basically the only reason I have the multanova is for multanova here in aus, and laser and k band for police cars is a nice extra...

To be able to select an exact frequency for KA band, that will have very strong and quick pick up for multanovas. As this would be basically the only band and the only frequency I want to know (no hand held k or ka band here) it could be amplified and very sensitive (sometimes you dotn have enough warning) and there would still be basically no false alarms.

Suprised this hasnt been done yet, it cant be hard to select only the frequencies you want? I just read the new Whistler will have this, however not quite what I want, just that it will show you the frequency, and also mute the frequency that you want, however the mute feature is only for laser I think

Glaring V1 deficiencies:

1. Band ID is archaic, from the 80's. How do you tell visually at night which band???????
2. The windshield mount, while very strong, needs modified to be able to stay on the windshield while removing the detector (ala Belscort).
3. Filtering flat out sucks.

^I agree you can't tell which Band ID at night but you can tell by the sound unless your almost deaf than I can understand that. I would like for them to change LED colors but I don't think VR really care about the looks as well as me. I like how the size is smaller than any other High-end RD and it looks good anyway (My opinion).

I would also like for them to sacrifice for K and X Band to more extreme Ka sensitivity if you know what I mean, just decrease alittle bit on K and X Band sensitivity and increase the sensitivity on Ka since it rapidly growing in the USA. And you before you know it, there are far few places with Ka Falses so why not increase to max on Ka? I don't care if they can make it to 10 miles warning which some of you may complain that is way too much time warning.

They might be able to lengthen the k band automute but I wouldn't change k band on the V1. The V1 loves to eat up k band.
