Default My V1 Failed me... but it wasnt its fault... my stupid windshield...

Soooo traveling on Hwy 84 from Boise today I go around a corner and get a blaring KA band warning just as I see the cop a couple hundred yards in front of me in the center median facing away... (I was hoping he had front facing KA band...) I slowed way down as quickly as I could react... but of course... I got busted... 89 in a 75

Damn... its just a $75 ticket, but I'll end up getting an attorney to fight it...

*sigh*

I really cant blame the V1 for its failure.... I still need to replace my windshield that has the thermonuclearfissionradarblocking crap in it... *sigh* Thats going to happen this week...

Why can't they use laser... doh!

What kind of car do you drive?

It is very possible that your windshield caused interference, but the LEO may have used I/O.

He drives a Audi A8 and they have those special windshields that happen to reduce RD's ability to function.

Yup... that going to happen this week... I am checking around at shops to see how much to replace...

Yup, its an Audi A8 with the thermal glass... On the V1 site it says the A8's are the worst as it reduces radar reception by 95% or so

sucks...

95%? ouch. might as well not have the RD on at all nearly.

Welcome to the recently-busted club. I got nailed for 60 in a 45. Ignored my RD because I thought it was a false. Dummy me.

Just make sure they don’t replace it with the same windshield with the same stuff on it.
