Default Who's running the oldest version for the Valentine One Radar?

I am running a 2.909 (1.7). Love it, see no reason to spend $180 for better KA (never had any trouble with my KA range), and the useless POP mode. So....are there any others on here running 2.909, or even an older firmware version? Or do I resemble an idiot who knows nothing about RDs?

Note: I also run an RX75, it does occassionly outperform on KA, never K (and I have a metal treated windshield, which effectively cripples a windshield mounted RD).

My friend got a 3.863 purchased 2 months ago. I'm running a 3.851 bought in July 2006. Both are running fine. I believe you are fine too, unless you start noticing missing radar alerts. POP is extremel rare.

If you have never got yours Tune up without upgrading to the newest version then I suggest you do it asap. Its better doing it every 1-2 years.

Thumbs up ok

I have two 3.826 version units that are working great and don't leak as much on the Spectre RDD as compared to the newer units.

Well, I think I got it in '03, and I bought it off eBay. So it certainly hasn't been every 1-2 years. But I mean, it still works really well, I have NEVER had a range problem with it. But perhaps I will take your advice, I am leaving for military training in a week and a half, and since they aren't allowed on base, it would be a good oppertunity to send it in.

3.812 No POP and 3.861 POP off. I am not seeing much difference at all.

Note: The 812 was re-tuned by Valentine about a 6 months ago. The 861 is a year old now.

"Newbie Cobra Radar Worthy"

Makes me laugh. Far from a "Newbie".

Still running 3.826 I would like to send in for an upgrade ... but I would be scared to run without my V1 for even a second!
