Exclamation two

I have two 3.826 V1's and love em'. The 3.851 and newer V1's have the digital heat sensor which required a hole to be drilled into the horn assembly which makes these models leak more on the Spectre RDD. The 3.826 and older versions, have the analog heat sensor which DON'T have the hole in the horn so they leak LESS on the Spectre RDD. This in no way is stating that the newer V1 models are bad, they probably work great. Just stating the facts. IF YOU HAVE AN OLD V1, KEEP IT! If you need to have it tuned up, you still can send it in, BUT MAKE SURE THEY KEEP THE SAME REVISION # THAT YOU HAD BEFORE.

I totally agree! It feels like Cops are watching you all the time when their not. It also feels very unsafe driving without RD, it is true when that happens. I've read somewhere that RD does make you feel safe when driving and paying attention to the road more often.

Sometimes when my Parents go on a like near 200 miles trips, I would let them use mine for a day but not like a week because I can't stand driving without V1. I tell Dad sometime to get a V1 (Owned it since Nov) for himself but he thinks he doesn't need it all the time.

Hmm, where is V1 Dave. Is he on this forum?

He definitely has an oldie but it still does the trick for him.

Shows you why V1 is so popular

I wonder if they actually recalibrate the valentine one radar when you send it in... heard it is good to tune up your radar ever so often

Default Re: Who's running the oldest version for the Valentine One Radar?

It can be a good idea if it needs it. The only thing is sometimes I wonder if the unit I send in will come back better than when I sent it out before. You have to wonder though!

Cool Re: Who's running the oldest version for the Valentine One Radar?

Hmmm, older thread, but still good!

I did have a 3819, but moved on to a 3864, so no longer an older version.

I sent mine in about a month and a half ago. Quick turn around, maybe four days total. I did a one day delivery to them, hate to be without!

Read a lot about the ghosting issues, had a little bit of that with the 3819. The 3864 has had only one incident so far, much better performance. I was coming back from Atlanta to Charlotte after the 4th of July, up I-85 north. Met a southbound county LEO in GA with C/O K, briefly got a one second bogey count of two then reduced to one. His gun was really putting out, like you could cook a burger in front of it, LOL! I wonder how much reflection the LEO’s get with those units having it set to C/O?

The V1 arrows seem to due a smoother job of it and at times it seems I’m getting a little better range. The CMPD and NCHP mainly use K and Ka, a lot of I/O and both are now using laser which they seem to really like the bridges and ramps sheesh!

Anywho, the boys at VR did a good job of it.
