Default Valentine One Radar Detector 30 day trial

I want to test out a new V1 for comparison purposes but feel guilty knowing I will return it. I don’t like doing things like this and was wondering what other people thought?

I haven’t used a V1 in many, many years.

Well I said Do It! because everyone is entitled to get a 30 day trial regardless of their purposes for getting it. Just remember that if you return it then want it later they will charge you a restocking fee I think of 15%.

So if you ever decide you want one after returning it, you will pay extra. I voted to do it but I change my vote to being dishonest.

Well almost except it works in reverse to your thinking. If you buy a new V1 then return it and later in time get another one and then go to return your second V1 you pay the 15% or in this case you get 15% less back then what you paid so if my calculator serves me right you would get $339.15 back instead of the whole $399.

It is the second time you buy then go to return that is the problem not the first purchase.

Valentine one once offered a 1 year trial and a gift of $100.00 if you returned your V1. Nobody returned the V1. It's that good

(mem-tek that was a joke)

p.s. On a serious note I think you should try for 30 days. Some people hate the false alarms. I for one would never use a V1 unless I had the smart cord to mute it in the city.

Is your intent to keep the V1 if you like it? Or, are you going to return it regardless of how much you like it? If its the latter, don't do it WHY? Because there is enough data to on line to make an informed decision...whay do you need to try it yourself, I don't get it!

It has been a long time since I tested a V1 and I really don’t want another RD unless its stealth, but V1 is taking way too long on the hole Stealth idea.

I also want to make some notes and tests on the V1 to hopefully post here but I don’t need to keep it to do that.

Well the latest V1 tends to be quieter than my STi, even some well known false areas are sometimes filtered out when i run in A mode, but as soon as i get a radar hit the V1 is alerting way earlier than the STi...I was suprised that it was so good in the city, i expected to see more falses.

Some nice work by Mike V there.

Well I have decided to wait till a stealth V1 becomes available and keep it.
The poll shows its pretty equal across the board, and I feel a bit uncomfortable doing it knowing I will return it in 30 days.

Thanks.
