Testing My Whistlers

I tested my Whistler 1788, XTR 280,1730 and a used Bel 980 that I picked up on ebay. I came across a speed sign shooting K band radar. I figure this would be a great test and made a few passes. The Bel 980, Whistler 1788 & XTR 280 alerted two miles before the sign. The 1730 alerted one mile before. It was interesting to see that the Bel 980 was not much better than my whistlers. I currenty run my Whistler 1788 and the Bel 980 on my dash for detection tests. They seem very close in sensitvity. Sure, I can go out and buy the top of the line radar detector $$$, but I enjoy testing these inexpensive detectors. Makes it more interesting and they seem to work rather well. I also purchased a new Whistler 1793SE on ebay. Got it pretty cheap. I saw some good reviews on it, but will know more when I put it into service. Does anyone have input on any of these units?
