Default Nice IO Whistler Radar Detector XTR-690 save in WI

So while riding back with my father after he picked me up from college, my XTR-690, which I'm letting him use, saved him!

Story:

We were just crusing along going about 13 over PSL when we get a weak K-band alert of 1 which quickly ramped up to 3. This then dissappeared for a few seconds, then we get a very quick alert of signal 5. This also drops off for about 10 seconds, then 8>>>9 detectors going crazy. My dad says "where is he...where is he?!?". THe LEO turns off the radar and we finally see him sitting in the median, and since it was getting dark and he had a dark blue car you couldn't see him till you were right on top of him.

My father was very impressed........range was ~0.5-0.6 mi......in medium to light rain.

On a side note we were driving by to a Cobra user, who ironically was driving quite recklessly, the XTR-690 did a great job filtering out the Cobra and we didn't once get a false from it. I did turn POP ON to see if I could and we got one POP alert in about 10 min of being right behind him.
