WilyB,

Any idea how that would affect around the curve, off axis radar detection on a V1?

What's RAM material? Is it commercially available? Where? Are you going to be selling these?

The RAM (radar absorbing material) sleeve will indeed limit detection to the front (or rear) area to probably about 15% right and left (30% total).

It is my understanding that this area is where the threats come from anyway. I mean if you drive in a perfect circle around a radar, it will see your speed as "zero", isn't it?

corners and hills will reduce detection range greatly!

During our testing even turning the spectre 10 degrees off the detector resulted in loss of detection alert!

Thanks for the great videos! Which version V1 did you test? It seems to matter a lot with the V1. Petersen claims to have tested a 3.863. I believe that 3.86X was the latest hardware platform at that time. VR is now up to 3.872, which I believe is on even newer 3.87X hardware. There are also 3.81X (the last of the relatively stealthy V1s, AFAIK), 3.82X (not stealthy), and 3.85X (not stealthy) V1 hardware platforms.

it was the latest 3.863..

Petersons results are flawed...notice he never has videos of his results....

Just flawed, or really biased? Although his motivation is highly suspect (read: $$$), I don't really believe that he's totally incompetent. I suppose he might have been trying to lull V1 owners into a false sense of security, which might result in even more V1 owners using (and losing) their V1s in banned areas. That, in turn, might create more customers determined to have a really stealth RD (presumably from the only company that currently makes them). It seems like a really extreme tactic, but I guess it's plausible.

I'd like to report that our car with the RAM sleeves around the detectors have been though a few Spectre trap without triggering the LEO's attention.
