Rose City/West Branch Michigan~

Most common cars in use Dark Blue with Bubble on top/ State Leo's. White on brown means County Leo County have laser as well as State Cities are discussing attaining it as well. Unmarked Suv's and cars, they commonly use Grey unmarked caprices or impala's now seen are unmarked black chargers, they have also been known to make them look like they are from another state as well. The State Leo's also have suburbans in their aresenal's and Jeep's even as well, older style jeeps the more square type, the county Leo's bought a couple of these Jeeps as well in my county so be forewarned. Ka,K,Laser, Pacing, Laser shot from overpasses, and onramps to rear as well as frontally. Pacing commonly used at night. IO ka band right after hills and curves COMMON practice.

Digital Encryption in use on digital scanners as well, they pick and choose when to Encrypt, you never know where or when they choose to use the Encryption mode.

Standard Lidar's issued/seen. Prolaser III, Ultralyte LRB- 100lr-200lr, Laser Atlanta (Stealth Mode), Never seen Stalker Lidar in use although I have one myself. So i know there is one in the state .

Use by officer by band you ask in Mi?

City Leo's Primarily K band, although some have enough money for Ka and Laser, but only so far in the major municipalities such as Flint, Escanaba, Detriot, Kazoo, Grand Rapids, Lansing, towns like that be on the lookout for Lidar in use by city Leo's.

County Leo's primarly Use Ka band as a stardard gun of the county police. Although they do have lidar in their arsenal's all across the state, and you never know when they are going to pull the Lidar out instead of the Radar. The do have K band although it is fading out of the State Slowly and has been since 1999. So there are some K band guns around.

State Leo's Primarily Shoot Ka And Lidar only. More lidar lately by them than Radar. Be forewarned. Although, they also still use Ka band 35.5ghz primarily as well, and also do still have some as in maybe 1-3 cars per Lot of 30-40 state police cars as K band, so K is still used by the MSP.

X band has yet to be seen/confirmed to be in use in michigan, although bias disagree's that was well over 10 yrs ago that sighting, and the only X band sightings are stores, door secuirty systems, and maybe the extremely "RARE" case of a old school DOT Orange speed sign that can't even issue a ticket anyhow.

These are just from my experiences! Feel free to disregard the cities, but i figured it might be beneficial.

I can this much for NY, Most often encountered Freq, would be

Ka, K, Laser, Pacing/ Vascar

I've witnessed Ka, K, Vascar. been warned about Laser and got shot with it once with interceptor on in NY. Pacing i know is used because i've seen officers driving with traffic just using speedo to nail for speed in Watertown.

Gotta add LTi Ultralyte to Texas. Galveston PD and Sugarland both have em. Lots of tourist traffic on to the island gets popped by the LTi.

I saw that on SpeedTrap.com or something like that. I'll be down there in July with no LJ so Uh-Oh. Thanks for that info, I'm guessing it's on that long Interstate Bridge?

Exactly. Look for them on the approach to the island on the shoulder and the median.

In NJ the state troopers are starting to use laser. They're mostly on the interstates. X, K, and Ka are also in use accross the state, depending on which town you're in. It really varies, but you definitely want X on when you're here.
