If you were a leo what tactics would you use to catch speeders?

Wearing Construction Uniform and Shooting Laser in the Median Lane in the City where there are alot of cars and call up the already prepared LEOs to catch the speeders.

Also, driving down the road in the opposite lane shooting Ka just like they do now around this Region. It is pretty sneaky but not really a tactic.

Frankly, I would be more interested in catching lazy drivers. So I would try pacing as much as possible.

PSP did that here in Pittsburgh about 2 months ago. The shooting officer was using a PennDOT vehicle and he relayed the car info to the interceptors down the road.

For me, I would probably go to every radar-detector forum known to man and read. Then come up with some tactics to counter.

Get myself a nice air-conditioned photo-radar van, park-up, switch on then sit back to guzzle donuts and count the money!

Cool I'd..

I'd sit in the treeline on the freeway and use vascar, then radio down to an awaiting officer or line of them.

OR.

I'd use laser right after a curve/hill in the freeway. So you couldn't visually see me shooting the lidar untill it was way beyond too late. I'd also keep a ka io radar in the passenger seat as backup incase the person was runnin LJ's. Or i might just run IO ka 35.5 off axis after a hill or hard curve in the freeway who knows?

OR

I might just sit right after an overpass just on the otherside of the dirt mound on a 45 tagging you with io ka. Soon as you pass your next overpass look to your hard right u'll see what i mean. Between the dirt enbankment for the bridge, the ramp and the road.. But out of view completely!

OR Laser from an overpass.

But this is how i'd do it. you know how on an overpass there is two sections of dirt on either side. Gaurd rail across.. often times cement rail. well I've found if you plop down on the opposing side to traffic you can often shoot lidar/laser to the rear. NOBODY EVER SEES you, your not on the on ramp or on the overpass it self. Just sitting leaning up against it on the dirt mound so you are and aren't on the overpass LOL, meaning you have the range still, Just you can't be seen as much by mirrors, etc. Your also leaving less of a silouette for someone to distinguish, compared to standing on a overpass. I have never been honked at once while using this tactic, never had one person stop, never been called in and never had one person notice it was being done. All they might of gotten if they where lucky since i'd shoot ur rear plate/bumper is maybe a blip of laser alert far far out, but why would i shoot far far out? LOL. Then what i'd do is radio down to awaiting officers to nab you, and leave you wondering where the hell it even came from. Your only defense to this is a killer set of laser jammers, and they'd have to have superemely killer off axis protection. As your not just off to the side your above, and at a very abnormal postition to be targeted and obviously this position is not going to be expected by laser jammer producers, which increases your chances of punchthrough even more, as well as the rear plate and tail lamps creating the best possible chance for PT on a jammer.

And by the way if you think your picking up the radio transmissions LOL I'd be one of those Leo's that used the encryption switch LOL...LMFAO.

Also can u imagaine using a laser atlanta in stealth mode doing this then even the detector wouldn't alert unless it was a v1..? Ouch. I'd be the invisible speed trap god.
LOL nasty stuff.
