Default Internal Pics of Radar Detectors (Valentine One, Escort Passport 9500i, X50 etc)

Took some High res pics of various detectors, it is amazing how simple it is to pull these apart and put back together. All the Pics Can Be Found Here: specialchicken1/Detectors - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Some samples below; V1 Can anyone explain why there is sticky tape over the rear laser lens?? does it help??? 9500i Did anyone know it runs NAVMAN GPS Hardware?? Under the antenna there is some handwriting on the PCB saying "ERROR CODE, NO NUMBER" wonder what they mean by that?? 8500 X50

That is very interesting to see what it looks like inside. The Whistler internal is pretty cute.

Thanks for showing them, it is just like a computer.

V1 should make there RD a kit so you can make it your self. Now that would be fun and it may cost $100 less.

Noice!! The funny thing is, as simple as the V1 is, it outperforms all others.. It also loks like the V1 is a single layer PCB where as the 9500i is a multilayer.

Yes the GPS, speed read out, speck display, auto dim and auto volume on the V1 really out performs the rest.

Yes the 9500I uses 2 PCB bords, the top PCB is primarily used for the GPS chip.
The 9500I has a tone of crap packed into its long slender body. I bet the V1 runs much cooler by using a single layer PCB rather than the 9500I's multilayer PCB.
