Default Cold temperatures and Radar Detectors ?

Can the cold effect a radar detector?? I noticed one cold morning my radar detector felt off the mount and wouldnt even stick to the windshield anymore until I was able to warm up the windows a couple months ago.... also does the cold if you leave it in your car shorten its life....?

Or how about the heat...leaving it in the sun too long...how does it effect the lifespan of it??

Heat makes your detector less sensitive. The cold wont do much, ive run mine in freezing temps and never missed a beat.

To help make them stick to the window just try some lip balm on the suction cups, works great for me....in freeeeeezzzzing temps

I would just focus in the Summer time, thats when it will damage your RD hardware inside. I'm sure you read it in the V1 Manual and it will show it where it is safe.
