Default New Police Radar ?

Hello , my friends from FRance took those pics , the machine is unknown , even friendly Leos do not think this machine is a radar.

Any clue ? Perhpas the return of R2D2 ?

That looks like some Camera taking pictures of License Plates? I don't see anywhere with special lens for Radar.

Looks like the square area may be infrared lights.

The two different lenses seem to be aiming at different angles, therefore aiming at the two different lanes. I am guessing it's license plate reader to check for stolen cars and wants.

was there any loop in the road?? if not then id say it is LPR (plate recignition)

Looks like speed camera with piezo-electric or indooctive loop trigger.
I doubt it's a ANPR(Auto Plate Reader)

Nope , speed cameras run a bigger IR flash, that IR is for illumination of plates, you will also find those cameras are IR cameras so they only need a small IR flash.
