How very unusual.. I tested a STi with the Spectre (without the horn) when I had it and got absolutely no reading what so ever. But with the horn it seems to detect it when held straight in front.

Just goes to show that horn makes all the difference!

From a distance the spectra probably wont alert. Putting the detector right up against the spectra doesnt show a whole lot. Considering that the detector is picking up the spectra 4 as well. Heck if we can pick up a spectra in use that great then just turn the unit off when we get a warning. But of course we know spectras are normally hard to detect.

yeah thats right, from 1 mtr away you cant get anything horn to horn...but this just shows there is some small leakage!!

i watched the vids a while ago. very interesting. could the rain have interfered with the results in any way? just wondering.

well done on acquiring that spectre and doing these tests btw. proves the sti really is the best bet if youre in an illegal zone.

in dry weather, the spectre may have detected a little further but hioghly unlikely
