![]() | Hello all guru's...hoping to get some info and insight on where people installed the laser jammers on the front of their vehicles? I have a Lincoln LS and a Cadillac Escalade ESV, that i will be purchasing blinders for. ZR4 for the LS and M45 for the ESV. Does anyone currently have either jammers installed on the above mentioned vehicles? Pics? Greatly appreciated! | ||||||||

![]() | I'm no guru, but I'll give this a shot! ![]() Hit up RadarDetector.net - there's one member there with a current-generation 'Slade, and although his setup is the Laser Interceptor dual-head, you can get an idea of approximate placement (I'd go with two high, two low, biasing the upper set towards the headlights and the lower set slightly moreso towards overlapping coverage of your front plate, if any, and if not, to also evenly space them out). I wish I remembered his name, outright, but embarrassingly, I do not - so search up the keyword "escalade" or "slade," and cross it with the term "interceptor," you should get lucky. If not, drop the "interceptor" keyword, and go at it again. Similarly, category4 there has a Blinder M45 on a late-model Ford F150 full-sized truck, and this can give you good ideas, too, even if the platform isn't the same, and specific hardpoints somewhat different. With the ZR4, I would bring the rear head to the front. Several members on RD.net have witnessed increased protection (in actual testing) by bringing the rear-facing head forward, using it to selectively reinforce center-mass (or front-plate) while allowing the two "front" heads to be, themselves, more biased towards outer-aspect coverage. In both cases, with both vehicles, I would recommend that you further supplement these jammers with any measure of passive protective measures that you are willing to undertake - as it can significantly, and even in some cases tremendously, reduce PTs, particularly on something as large as (and with the unfavorable hardpoints profile of) the Escalade.
