Red face Is the V1 perfect for me?

For X-Mas im getting my pick of any radar detector out there. and i need some help deciding. I have been researching videos and reading reveiws on the Valentine One and i'm impressed with it. I have a Cobra XRS 9540 and i never picked up a cop radar gun. i picked up speed signs nicely but if their is a cop hiding in the woods it don't go off. So i will never buy a cobra again.

I live in the northeast region of Pa where the PSP use k-band I-O. i'm also trying to decide if thats the right radar detector for the area too.
Money is kinda an issue to 600$ is prob the max i will go.

Please if anyone can help that would be great

If your in the NE of PA not including Scranton the V1 would be the best option. It's rural performance is phenomenal and the arrows keep you from getting bogged down on Front/Side/Rear alerts. You can ID off highway broadcasters so much faster with the arrows.

If you live in Scranton or other bigger towns then the Escort might be better. The V1 is noisy in the city.

Just south of scranton is the City of Wilkes Barre. And im quite familar with their means of catching speeders. They use ENRADD! Sucks. And in PA they have a lot of those signs that give off k-band. Sucks also.
Hey love those videos keep making more. and its always fun to speed.

Maybe supplementing the V1 with the Cheetah GPS-Mirror or C100 ?

That would allow you to set a physical speed-limit under which audible threat reports from the V1 does not come through - you could set it for your in-town speed-limit.

I would say the V1 would certainly do the job very well. But look at the 9500ix first to see if that unit has any advantages.

For example for those false K band signs you could lock them out if the LEO's in that exact area use KA only.

I always like to take the 2 of the best and beat there features to death till i have a winner.

Just try the 30 day trial on either of both of the top dogs. Then you decide which fits you, where you live and your driving style.

Yeah but I'm kinda glad that I'm getting the V1. Because basically nothing beats the bogey counter, the rear detector, and the arrows. Yeah you might pay a little more but i think personally you get your moneys worth. Plus that gps fales alert thing is something i will never use.

^ I'll definitely agree to that.

Indeed, if you have the capability to do that, at all, that would be the *best* way to go.

I think the c100 is mainly for the big cities. im just kinda want something that picks up radar and not to much laser. But that comes with all the detectors anyway. The city i live in has basically no red light cameras. So Getting a red light camera detector would be worthless for everyday travel.

I wonder why you even asked. Looks like you know exactly what you want.
