Default My Whistler Pro 98 Radar Detector gets it's first save!

Sorry for the freaking novel but video does not really tell these kinds of stories well. The scanner is very hard to pickup on the mic and the video isn't so hot either.

I bought my Pro98 scanner last summer and although I love it for keying me onto accidents. As a police locator it's relatively useless. Until last night that is.

Picked up another decoy operation involving HPD. A unmarked spotter car with radar talking to chase cars set up ahead. At this point I kind of slow down until I can catch a street reference and figure out what freeway they're set up on. It only took about two minutes to hear "Edloe" so I knew they were working the freeway I was on. And boy were they. 9 NINE chase cars. Everywhere. Never could ID the "decoy" or spotter car but several units where parked over the overpasses.

This morning: As soon as I get in my car and hit the scanner I hear another operation this time around Shepherd which once again clues me in they're working my road. So I crawl along 59 again and spot a few cruisers with people pulled over. After the first block I pull away to cruising speed and hear another broadcast. "George, there's a corvette thats really pushing it out there he's speeding off you might see if you can pace him" Next I coast down and another two minutes later there are three HPD cruisers coming up behind me. Two of them pass by and the third hangs back on my quarter panel. That was George I suppose. He hung back there for a minute while I kept pushing the scan button to hear anymore comments on my car but either I was missing his broadcast frequency or he didn't say anything. After a mile he passed me and exited.

So, the Pro98 gets it's first two saves. Props to the Pro98

That is awesome! I knew Scanners would give saves along with RD.

Nine Chase Cars? That is crazy. Does that normally happen in your Area (I won't say it).

I wonder how much that Scanner cost?
