Default Pro Laser 2 still in use by law enforcement?

Anyone know if Pro Laser 2 is still being used by law enforcement in the USA? I noticed the GOL tested out that unit....just was curious how many police are actually still using that gun??

Default

I can't even remember the last time I saw one.

But, being IACP "approved," yes, they are still valid enforcement tools.

I would imagine that you could still find examples in smaller/less-affluent townships, perhaps ones which have purchased discount/second-hand equipment.

Although I don't think it should be a primary worry (i.e. versus current-production Gen.III devices), I don't think that it can be discounted, either. Such an attitude is, IMveryHO, dangerous and could open oneself up to the worst kind of unexpected "bad day" scenarios.

Look at what was originally thought of the 100 PPS Ultralyte, by the community.

It wasn't until much later that we finally realized how real - and pervasive - this threat could be.

To me, the simple fact that this device remains on the IACP's listing of approved enforcement devices gives the need to be protected against it all the validity that's necessary.
