Default How do you beat red light cameras?

Lots of red light cameras have been built all over Houston and I was just curious what the options are to beating these cameras? What is the most effective way if caught running it to avoid the ticket....? I wish there was a system in place that would shut down the camera when passing through... that would be neat :}

foxplate is the only true answer. Hopefully they will come out with the new foxplate system soon. Everything else is either to expensive or to obvious. Foxplate is the only thing that brings photo enforcement to its knees.

I saw on MythBusters if you do almost 200mph the camera won’t even take a picture.

Default Matt

Matt, buy a Navalert RLC detecting device. These work well and cost between $215-250. Great investment. I own one and it works great.

In europe, its angle grinders, dynomite, molotov Cocktails, or even a way to bend the mount to make the camera point toward the sky.

Default so

So Matt, are you thinking of purchasing a Navalert? This would be a great product to use on your upcoming trip.

^ I don't think it was MythBusters -I don't think they had either a fast enough (nor safe enough) vehicle (it was a standard Dodge Neon, if memory serves), nor enough roadway.... I think that was either Top Gear or 5th Gear that did the high vehicle speed test.

If I remember correctly, they had to go through several vehicles, in order to find one that could reach a high enough speed. ::

---

Currently, I think that a warning device, such as the NavAlert (or using your own GPS or GPS-enabled device to physically "mark" such locations) is the only definitive protection available. However, this still won't do any good if you're trapped in a position where you did go through the light (be it for safety reasons - i.e. an 18-wheeler bearing down on your rear, in full lock-up - or just because of bad luck - i.e. your vehicle being "caught in no-man's land" while making a left turn, with an oncoming vehicle running the yellow that you would've turned on - or even because you obeyed the law but the camera didn't see it that way - i.e. right-turn-on-red scenarios, even when you DID make the full-stop).

As a fellow hobbyist in the countermeasures area, and as a driving/automotive enthusiast - and moreso, as a SAFE driver - I'd honestly like to see something like the FoxPlate become reality. Heaven knows there were already enough various vaporware products in this regard.....

Exclamation Myth busters HAHA

Mythbusters haha... I'd beleive their testing as far as i can throw it. They just do their tests to get the results they want. BOGUS.

Redlight cams? Hmm Navalert is a major defender. 9500i. As well as a superprotector. Although with the cams like WRX down there has a superprotector will not protect you! REDFLEX SYSTEMS eat superprotectors for breakfast. With redflex you have to modify the shape ie bend of the superprotector then it will prevent it from getting you as it would with a normal cam. This is do to the lack of angle of REDFLEX to the roadway.

Thumbs up Lol Heck Ya!

LOL heck ya! Is this anything like mad? Motorist's Against Detection? From the europe area that straight up torch them 12 times and they keep puting them back up and they keep torching them, or running them over with front end loaders.
