| Red light cameras are good, the rules for them are bad. You should not receive any fine for your 1st violation and 2nd should be a small fine, but if you get a 3rd the fine should be extremely high or jail time.

| I have mixed feelings about them. Obvioulsy, I don't like the idea of people running red lights. That's just plain crazy. And trying to beat a yellow isn't the mark of a genius either. On the other hand, I know some cities that use red light cameras have actually "adjusted" some of the stoplights so they change greenyellowred in the blink of an eye. They are interested in getting supplemental income for the city. And they don't care that they are screwing innocent people doing it. Right now I'm seriously considering the Cheetah rear view mirror for purchase. At least I'll get some warning if I am approaching an intersection that has these cameras and I can exercise more caution that I normally do. | ||||||||
