V1 laser scatter vid

heres my latest dashcam vid

the V1s laser detection is simply phenomenal IMO. i got a scatter hit today here on it when i was not the car being targeted. therefore my heads were too low to see this laser attack as the cars in front were blocking the view. more proof to me that running these 2 together is a match made in heaven

the car you see overtaking me had been keeping up with me for a bit so i thought i might be dealing with an unmarked cop car possibly pacing me. i was well out of my locality so i felt it best to take no chances and slowed to around PSL. after i ID'ed him as not being a cop i pulled in behind him to overtake again as soon as i got a chance but then this happened.............

after i saw the cop i killed off my LPP. no sense in jamming him that close in an illegal area. thats why you hear me it turning back on after i pass him

at 33 seconds in you can see the cop on the right shooting from behind a sign post and a second or so after that, you can see a silver car pulled in to the left. obviously he/she didnt have a LPP or a V1

this was not really a save but it could have been an epic one if the circumstances were different. however im not complaining

nice save, the range of the detection seemed to be about 1/2 mile or so... which is great for laser

thanks RR but it wasnt actually a save as i was doing PSL whwn i got the initial hit anyway

the thing is that my V1 and the camera have pretty much the same view of the road ahead and there was 2 cars between me and the cop at that distance on the initial detection

my V1 is a 3.863 bought late last year and i have been very impressed with its laser detection so far but that was truly amazing

is it just me or did the V1 3.813 model do better then the most current version radar 3.864 on the guysoflidar test...was their any performance upgrades between the software upgrades...? Seems like when you upgraded to the most recent...the performance declined?

i cant comment on the 3.813 as i have never owned one but this particular 3.863 pwns laser . it has never missed a hit yet, even the close up ones and as you can see on that vid, the last alert was most likely when the cop was shooting at a car behind me while i was right next to him

considering how laser works, that was unreal sensitivity
