The Pro-78 did very well tonight. Managed a detect on a K-band Your Speed trailer. I made a second run on the trailer with my son to make sure. The second run had a slightly shorter detect than the first one -- maybe 200 feet shorter. I used the second run for my diagram below. .4 mile first alert, with full-strength about .2 miles away. Nice ramp-up, though it started at 4 bars. That's probably because in the urbanized area I was in, houses blocked the signal farther out. On the first run, I was starting to doubt I'd see a radar, that's how long it took to see the trailer. My son thinks the trailer was a bit further down the road, but I'm using the conservative side of things here.
And to satisfy the detractors, my Pro-78 is not stock. It has some tweaks that work mostly to reduce falses, but do provide a slight improvement in K and Ka range.
