Default VID: Me and a Jeep SRT8. Warning reckless driving inside.

On the way home tonight I ran up on the legendary Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. For those who don't know this supposed "SUV" has a 420 hp HEMI motor which together with it's quick automatic transmission can trip 0-60 in 4.1 seconds. As if this SRT8 Jeep wasn't enough he was already running with a Dodge Magnum SRT8 which makes this a night of firsts. Both cars are phenomenal. I wish the vid could capture the exhaust not from those HEMIs. Music to my ears. Anyways, the Jeep was FN fast. I mean crazy fast. I could only gain on him once I got past 100. Fortunately I happen to know these Jeeps are limited to 125 mph so in the end I got the pass.

BTW: Look for the gnarly pass the Jeep makes on the right SHOULDER of the highway. The vid does not do it justice. In real life there was brake lights and gravel flying everywhere. I thought for sure I was going to get a vid of that jeep rolling down the beltway with a body flying out.

Disclaimer: For those familiar with my post you know I drive like a jackass. For those not so familiar. This post is a computer generated movie and no civilians were risked in the process.

That's an insane truck - particularly given that it's "factory."

Great vid. I love seeing your speedo sweep on towards the right.

That's one thing that Winky definitely does *not* have right now - enough grunt under her hood to play with the big boys at highway speeds. Her small turbo makes her run out of breath up-top. angry It's just another reason why I want to switch-out to a much larger turbo - since I'm a "Jekyll and Hyde" kind of driver, the lag wouldn't bother me at all, and I gain the on/off kind of behavior that I rather prefer in a daily-driver.

I had the same feeling with my WRX. It just couldn't blast past 120 the way I wanted it too. Torque is nice but honestly the WRX was more fun to drive on the track. Well . . . Kind of.

Imagine the fun you could have had at the end if you would have had a red/blue visor light bar.......
