Default Cheetah Sentinel

Well, I was given a Cheetah Sentinel to try out because where I am radar detectors are illegal and the police are equipped with Spectre.

So assuming the SML 2006 tests were accurate and the word of Cheetah was creditable I installed it.

WELL.. I just got our Spectre III the other day and tested it.. BAM straight away it was detected. In fact it was detectable from 250+ meters away.

I am wondering how many people have been caught out by this..

Surprisingly well, as the site boasts it can pick up radar from behind from between 600-800m and front on up to 1km away.

I have heard the K-band range on the thing is insane even compared to the V1...Some people were discussing using that to detect just K-band for their set-up

Is there a special freq. for euro k-band guns that would be different then the US K-band guns?

Yes, they differ slightly but still fall within the North Amerinnca K band range. For example most (Gatso, Mesta, etc) are in the 24,125GHz and the new Multaradar C is in the 24,100GHz, but since american K-band is at 24,150GHz, its close enough given a +/-100MHz listening range.

With my V1 I get better distance on Multanova6FM Ka-34.36GHz,than on MultaRadar-C K-24.100GHz.
MultaRadar-C set a new standard for K-band radars. This thing is amazing.
The other day,I came across MultaRadar-C with my RX-65 and I got 3sec. warning with the radar antenna was pointing in my direction. If the antenna would be facing away from me,I'm not sure if RX-65 would even alert. The problem is that,I don't know if I reacted in time, before picture was taken, because I didn't have enough time to slow down. When RX-65 gave the alert I was doing 80km/h in 50km/h zone.I managed to slow down to around 60-65km/h,before I passed the radar.I keep my fingers crossed!
There's also another problem with MultaRadar-C and that's the horizontal polarization of the antenna. In Europe we normally mount our RDs in vertical position to inprove Multanova6 detection, but if MultaRadar-C is also used in your area, you will get nailed,if you have vertically mounted RD.Even DSI spectrum analyser, which is the best at detecting M6F,Multa-C,Gatso...etc,. struggles with MultaRadar-C
