Actually, as IRCMUSA pointed out earlier, Alex is the distributor in Canada only.

There is a different rep in the U.S. Alex at one time was all of N.A., but the area was split up a few months ago. So, the U.S. now has a dedicated distributor.

You can see for yourself on the Laser Protector website: Laser Protector

It appears customer service is again not a priority.

Anyway enough rambling. The LPP rep pm'd me and told me he would do me a favor of selling me a 2 head LPP for $799!!!!! I was like are you fuking nuts?

Sorry LPP but my ass would be bleeding. Jesus man, that's crazy. Why do i say this?

Well first I owned and AL7, I know it's not "the same" sure looks it. The heads were not very well made. Hell they were all scracted up after install. And my installer routinely does $10,000 systems.

The system broke before it even got tested. Did anyone offer me assistance? No

There is no way that the parts for an LPP cost $200 and you want me to pay $800?

If you had years of service and good cs behind you maybe i would think about it...MAYBE.....

I know Horn can elaborate on this. He has a problem with the main box and was basically told "tuff shit" by the USA rep from what I remember.

Too rich for my blood.

Can i make a sugesstion? You know if you want to make customers happy, give them a fair deal on a product....you will make a profit through mass sales.....Just my opinoin.

Laser interceptor looks like you will be getting my order........

You caused a lot of drama in a short time. LOL Just buy an LI and call it a day. One head up front will undoubtedly result in JTG performance while 2 up front is just strait up overkill. One person had a bad experience with the US rep for LI while everyone else including myself have had a great experience. Hey, there is only one choice if you truly want to be invisible to laser.

I also personally know someone who has had exceptional customer service from Antilaser regarding his ALG8. I'm sure many have had issues with them too. Please understand that someone will have issues with every company, but there is one manufacturer out there that provides JTG JFG performance everytime from two heads mounted on the front or rear of any vehicle short of a semi.

I had seen a retail price of 1499 for the SRX, but I just looked at Escort and Bel's websites (which were recently revised), and they are 1199 so I agree. Not sure what happened with the price or the page I saw before, but thank you for pointing out the error on my part.

With regards to purchasing on EBay. Anyone with any EBaying experience knows that EBay is both a blessing and a curse. EBay is a great site and offers some terrific opportunities. However, there's also a lot of junk product sold in EBay. Most notably with electronics you have a lot of B-grade stock and refurbished items which are sold without full disclosure. EBay is frequently used to get rid of unwanted product.

So, my point is that you have to be careful about that. If a product retails for $1200 and you see it on sale for $300, you ought to ask yourself why it's so cheap. How is the seller making any money on it? Just something to be aware of.

LPPs are not US based,
I'm not sure what you mean by LPP not being U.S. based. Do you mean they are not manufactured here? Well, that is true. But is that a problem? If so, why? The clothes you are wearing are probably made in China or Bangladesh. Are you going to walk around naked because they are not made in the U.S.?

you have to pay for shipping, and you're not going to find them up on ebay.
Not true. DMI ships the LPP kits for free. Check our website. Direct MotorSport International, LLC

This gives you a monopoly of sorts as many would-be US customers are not going to buy from a reseller they can't trust until someone else has bought from that merchant, which gives the merchant to set the price.
There is no monopoly here. If you know someone or a company which would like to carry the LPP, I would encourage you to have them contact the U.S. distributor (Laser Protector USA).

I'm not sure what your issue is with trusting us or any other reseller. You mentioned buying on EBay, which is infinitely more risky. Our company is licensed, we have our own website, phone, etc. etc.

You can occassionally find an LPP on EBay for various reasons, just like many other products. We are contractually bound to NOT sell on EBay. I can't speak for any other companies' relationship with LP USA.

I believe the reason why you don't see the LPP all over the place in the States yet is because it's only had a U.S. distributor here for a few months. It takes time. Like I said, if you have a recommendation for a retailer or installer, I'm sure the LP USA folks would be interested in hearing it.

Another thought... if you buy from us you can of course take your product anywhere for installation. We will gladly work with any installer to assist them with tech support.

Most of us are not looking for JTG, we're just looking for something better than SRX or blinder that isn't going to co us, and is going to have LONG-term benefits. While the LPP may be a good jammer today, tomorrow a new laser gun could come out rendering it useless. That's why most of us just settle for BELSCORT/BLINDER b/c we know they'll sell us something cheaper soon enough
I don't know about that. How do you know they are going to sell you something cheaper soon enough? And besides, you get what you pay for.

If you want to drive a BMW versus a Honda, you will pay more. They will both get you to the mall, but the BMW - for some people - offers an experience for which they are willing to pay a premium for.

Likewise, the LPP is not for everyone. Compared with Escort's products, you are paying for a different type of protection, in a different package.

LPP rep;

I agree with you on all points, like I said I was a n00b and didn't research LPP, I was thinking about other companies like AL. As far as Belscort goes, they make products that go down in price relatively quickly and they're not RMR quality . They're already coming out with the STI-r, and a new jammer for the 9500i is coming out soon.

To me JTG is a sense of security...I can speak from experience. The day I was driving over a ramp and had my Valentine One in my girls car and had the cop lasering me the entire time...I had no ideal.... Did I have bad driving habits...about 10 mph in a 60 mph zone...it dropped from 70 mph to 60 mph zone like that with one sign....very sneaky......

I am not trying to stick up for "LPP" but ...that was a ticket waiting...luckily I was able to hear the LPP as I was being laser from 1,500 feet and finally hear it from 500 feet and closing...saved me from a ticket! The led based jammers on Radar Roy's test were giving results at 1,000 feet or so...so for me..yes JTG performance is important for me...if you call 10-12 mph over the speed limit.....I was doing the speed limit but they dropped it 10 miles per hour in the matter of 1/4 mile or less....very sneaky....

Just a thought to look at it...yes the LPP isnt cheap....but for a true diode laser jamming system I can count on.....pays off...that would have been a 250.00 ticket..... pays off very quick over time.

Where did you mount it? Any pics?

We're very tempted to try out the STi-R and the RX75 Plus, but only if Bel doesn't introduce any new models at the June CES show.
