Interesting. Your kind friend.

I also have no doubt that you and I will never speak the same language. Lets just leave it at that.

I was hopeful that this forum was going to be a breath of fresh air, but suddenly I just can't help getting this feeling in my gut, that this will just become another Jammers Forum (JTW, FF and Stalker) or LPP forum (essentially all the banned crew from RD.NET), where the # 1 agenda was bashing Roy, RD.NET and the GOL.

It seems that those "players" are re-surfacing here.

Makes me sad.

Well im sorry your sad,

I have no affiliation with those people or even know who they are.
I never spoke of the jammers I sell due to the forum rules on RD.net I respected the policies.
I have talked with Roy several times and have high respect for him the first time i called radarbusters and Radar Roy ansered the phone i thought it was way cool!!
Sorry if I hurt your feelings. But im not trying to hide who I am and what I do. I am the owner of Cooleys Auto Repair
Norry called me out from the beginning as a Blinder dealer and he was right, but he also found out I was a LPP dealer and called me out on that, strange huh?
A LPP and a BLINDER dealer!!!!????
I didn’t mention on the RD.net that I sell the Escort products like the ZR3 and im a dealer for Lidatek and Laser Track I don’t have to hide anything in this forum so I wont pretend I don’t sell products. I enjoy this stuff as you do I just happen to sell them.
I tried to be a Antilaser dealer but they weren’t interested in the US market was what I was told in a email from them I called Croatia 4 times and got the answering machine every time.
And I tried LI but Elvis wont sell out to dealers he wants to keep the market cornered, which is fine with me I wont sell something you have to make a donation for because its illegal to sell in the US.

I have no issues here with anyone in THIS forum and I would like it to stay that way.
Im like you I need a place with a little less drama.
You know who I am and where I work if you want to talk some time my phone rings and I or my secretary will answer the phone.

Lidatek will be comming out with a new one in 08 ill cut you a deal on one.

With love

jake

Oh come on guys, not this crap again..This is the reason why i came here cuz we seemed to get along better here without all the politics.I don't see why some take this sooo seriously. You are always going to have someone or something against you so just live with it.We'll survive.Me personally, i don't really care what others say about something because in the end it's MY money and where i chose to spend it is My choice.Bashing over the net is childs play. Why not just have a big meet where whomever can get on da mats and do some combatives.

I kind of agree with Mrcllusb... minus the combatives part.

First off, can't I find a forum where people don't speak in riddles and high-five each other with stuipid inside jokes? Or chat about how hot looking each other's girlfriends are? PLEASEEEE.... go back to high school where you belong.

Come on guys. Get real. Yeah we all have our opinions. There is NO NEED to bash each other. And no one should feel the need to defend themselves in detail either.

This is a community - or at least should be. I wanted to be part of this forum because I *thought* (maybe I just *hoped*) it was not going to turn into another RD.net train wreck.

Can you imagine how normal people must think when they read this stuff? Something like, "look at all these idiots with their big egos who are bashing each other."

Do you realize all the work that the admins on this forum are going to in order to grow the community and publicize its existence, precisely because they are also RD.net refugees? And what are prospective new members going to find on Google? More of the same? Why?

There's a great opportunity for this forum to be truly educational, to be what RD.net once was. To be one-stop shopping for really useful information for both enthusiasts and the Average Joe.

If this forum is going to get ruined with name calling and what not, I'm just going to bail out now. If that's what you all want then please just say it so that those of us who are adults can drop out and move on.

Ok... I'll try to address a few posts from both Dave and mrcllusb here.

1. I'll tell you that - from the perspective of being an LPP Reseller - the laser heads themselves are by far the most expensive component. That's in terms of my company's cost. So I know it seems to you like why is there this big price diff between say a 1 and 2 head system? What I am saying here - totally honest - is that the heads are THE most costly part of the system. Period. So, that is why. The retail price has only to do with the cost of the whole system. You add a margin to your cost and that is your sale price. The margin covers your expenses / cost of doing business, and allows a small profit on each sale. Simple.

2. 1 head or 2? Look, I think everyone who works at my company is straight up. Personally, well here is what I tell people. First question is - what do you drive? 2nd question... what are trying to accomplish, what are your goals? Then I tell them here is the deal.... If you have say a narrow vehicle like a Mini or Scion, then you will probably be OK under most circumstances with just 1 head. Even up to a BMW 3 series size width you will probably be OK with just 1 head.

But, here are the caveats (which are important):
- With only 1 head, headlight shots will be your nemesis (again depending on what your vehicle is, but in MOST cases this will be an issue).
- If the head does not see an incoming threat, you are screwed. That is why I almost always recommend 2 head systems, but I do explain to people why I am recommending this. It's all about placement. Can your heads see the threat? Can the threat see your heads (to see the return fire)?
- If your vehicle is targeted while partially obscured by something (e.g. the car in front of you), then you have the same problem. If you can't see it, you cannot defend against it.
- Other issues are: Where/How are you going to mount the heads? Are overpass shots common in the area where you drive? What laser threats (LIDAR guns) are used in your area?
- All of those things have an impact on each person's situation, and therefore on my advice or comments.

Like I said, I almost always recommend a 2 head system. For some people, I'll be honest and tell them that they may need even more. Are you driving a massive SUV with a massive chrome mirror on the front? And you want to be as close to invisible as possible... good luck. Better try at least 3 heads, maybe 4 because you are driving a massive brick with a mirror on the front.

Look, as must be familiar to mrcllusb, this is what people want to know. They want to be able to ask someone in the industry - a reseller, or whatever - what they need. So, I do my best. I give my opinion. I think my opinion is pretty good because I've been involved in this field one way or another for several years, and I have experience testing these devices. I've heard lots of stories - about various brands and various good or bad experiences.

If someone doesn't like my advice, don't take it for goodness sake! But I offer what I have... and what I can suggest. That's all I can do.

Regarding LPP's statement about Belscorts being $1500 The srx is $1199 retail, and you can pick it up on fleabay from $300-800 depending on who's selling. I got mine for $300. LPPs are not US based, you have to pay for shipping, and you're not going to find them up on ebay. This gives you a monopoly of sorts as many would-be US customers are not going to buy from a reseller they can't trust until someone else has bought from that merchant, which gives the merchant to set the price. Most of us are not looking for JTG, we're just looking for something better than SRX or blinder that isn't going to co$t us, and is going to have LONG-term benefits. While the LPP may be a good jammer today, tomorrow a new laser gun could come out rendering it useless. That's why most of us just settle for BELSCORT/BLINDER b/c we know they'll sell us something cheaper soon enough

US based!! and the blinder is?? its from Denmark dude.
the LPP you upgrade the software in the juntion box.
the software is in the jamming heads of the blinder so guess what IF a new gun comes out your screwed with the LED based systems LPP you return your old Juntion box for a reprogram or buy a new one. the laser is the most expencive part of the systems. you got it backward the LPP is upgradeable the Blinder is not. what would you like to see a single or dual head unit for sale on ebay?
