For your information also Drivesmart is still going LINK HEREHome it is being run by Chris and the other guys who were involved in the project so you can complain to them about any issues you have with your product.
They did have new firmware for the Defender2 but would not release it,DS and the other products we were making involved a lot of people with lots of different views on the business,I pulled out of it and told them to just get on with the DEF2 style of products but they choose to keep going with the GPS side of the business so we split up and moved in our own directions.
I am offering to send you a Laser Star to test so you can cut all your BS remarks about its performance ETC,You can then test it with your LTI20-20 and compare it with your LPP you can also see then that all the video that is being done is correct and the Laser Star works very well.
Yes I own Laser Star - Home and you knew that anyway as I used to host Defender2 info on their also.
Yeah i got it on ebay not denying that. But from Chris's account (remote12). Also you guys replaced the whole unit (Head and Control Box) so there should be no issue of integrity with the product. To be honest i'm glad you came on cause it proves another one of audis lies that you were not involved with laserstar. Everyone and their mother knew you were involved so there really was no need to deny it. As for the defender2...could have been alot worse for me if it actually did stay on for more then 2 minutes not falsing from EM, didn't fancy a nice court case over a E07 JAM code that you guys definately KNEW about but released it anyway, a pretty lousy thing to do.
s
To Be Honest ...I don't believe your Neil your posts sound like a certain Ford Subaru drivers.

And for God Sake..For your products integrity tell who's ever spammed all the car boards posing as LS customers to stop, it smells of desperation

By all means send on an LS and i'll test it with the other irish member whos a ProLaser2 and marksman as well

might want to edit the contact details on the shhopping cart if your not DS anymore.

The def2 parking sensor never worked for a start and i don't think the other functions worked. Also the LI is capable of jamming Laser guns unlike the latter

Hello

We`ve only just picked up the DS projects over the last 3-4 months and have been working mostly on GPS. Have not had the time to look back into the DEF2 but will pick this back up and look into the firmware for you when I can.

No, the main problem with the DEF2 was that we had finished the prototype and began testing it when `www.drive-smart.co.uk` decided to launch it as a full product despite our opinion it needed more time to be developed and tested. Their belief was they knew better than those designing and developing the projects.

So I will do my best to get some new software out to you but cant say exactly when that will be. I`m just being honest about how long it will take.

Thanks

Chris

I wil back up Eire 100% on this.

I've been around a long time (one of the original members on RD.NET). The reality is that if Neil Brown is involved RUN, not walk in the other direction.

If any of the "Four Horsemen of The Apocalypse" are invloved RUN in the other direction.

The Defender 2 was a total POS, many got burned, and it will happen again with ANY venture that this crook Mr. Brown and his Horsemen are involved in.

These guys are only out for themselves and their wallets.

Only I would know you got it from Ebay as you did not buy it direct from me.
Smart-tek is my company name and not Drivesmart Chris has decided to keep making and selling the DS range of products as you well know.
There seems to be confusion with people that Drivesmart was also my company name,Well it never has been.
Technical support information was lacking because of the lazy people involved in the software-technical side and this is the main reason we split up.
The features I announced were promised by the development guys i.e Chris and Julian,I was promoting it.
There was never any E07 on the LTI we used,Focus and Outrun even did video of the Defender2 and they never had any E07 on their gun either(Lti20-20) the only time it threw up error codes during testing was when we had continually hit it over a course of 2-3 hours testing which was never a real world senario.
The Defender2 was a very advanced system and could have easily been the best system available.
Same as the DS it was and still is the most advanced camera detector available and no one has matched the features and functions of it.
There was a parking sensor software upgrade that was never released and again you would have to speak to Chris as they were holding the software and not me personally and they never gave it to me to release.
Chris left a lot of shit behind because of poor communication with customers on technical support which was his side of the deal,You are really lucky they even bothered replying to your e-mails at all.
PM the address and I will send a sample out for you to test.

Actually you are so wrong the Def2 was the most advanced system around and the first fully software upgradeable laser jammer.
The let down was the technical support people that were behind it being Lazy and letting people down on communication etc.
You seem to think I did everything with the Def2 well in that would be impossible all my company did was to promote it,The Technical side of things was down to Chris and Julian and they had seroius communiucation issues with me and also users of the system and made promises they could not keep.
That does not make me a crook,As Eire confirmed the money went to Chris's paypal account when he purchased it off ebay and was purchased via REMOTE12 SYSTEMS LTD I never took a penny off of him directly and also open up a DS and look at the pcb and see who actually made it.
This is the only reason I have posted on here is I am being accused of something that is simply not true.

Also I love the email reply from Chris about passing the buck on the Def2 QUOTE"No, the main problem with the DEF2 was that we had finished the prototype and began testing it when `www.drive-smart.co.uk` decided to launch it as a full product despite our opinion it needed more time to be developed and tested. Their belief was they knew better than those designing and developing the projects"
He was quite happy to take your money though!
