If I got LPP, I would personally go through DMI, I talked to the guy and he was very helpful. Plus it is based in the US.

We tested some 3M tape at the houston texas test. Apparently it did do some good on the lock time for long range shots. Didn't really affect the PL3's max range though, at least for my vehicle.

What if use 3M Magic tape, more cheaper.
& Looks like no reflection anyway. don't have laser gun but tested with laser pointer to see reflection.

100% reflection with genuine(pure, no tape, laser shield, veil) license plate
Quite less & diffused reflection with 3M Clear duct tape.
But can't see any reflection with 3M Magic tape.

Test with real laser gun please.

The trick (IMHO) is cover it with a clear cover such as the Laser Shield or just some cheapo cover. Otherwise at close range it's obvious you have something over the plate. That being said, the tape does not make it harder to (visually) read the plate or anything (it's clear), but a LEO in a bad mood could write you up for "obstructed view" of the plate in some jurisdictions. Viewed at close range it is apparent that something doesn't look right, but it is not obvious and would take someone scrutinizing your plate to see that (such as a LEO sitting in a cruiser behind you in rush hour for example).

Make sure the cover is slightly opaque (why I suggest the LS cover), which btw I don't care if anyone buys it or not because they don't work with the current generation guns. I just happened to have a couple of the LS plates from prior testing. They worked well for me because the LS plate covers are slightly opaque, which helps in covering the lines on the tape from being so obvious. Generally, it just makes your plate appear dirty.

I'm not sure how well Veil works on the current gen guns, but the tape definitely works and it's a lot cheaper.

On another note, DO NOT put it on your headlights. Good lord, you will never get it all off. Remember this is duct tape we are talking about! I tried a small amount and it was a royal PITA to get it off after a few days. Plus it is so obvious that there is something there and it does diffuse the light output on most headlights, especially the common plastic cover ones used on almost all cars nowadays.

Note this is all my personal opinion. I don't have any stock in duct tape companies either. Thank the Constitution and this forum for free speech!!!
