It was rear lidar, the LI was mounted on the front so it wouldn't alert in that manner.. ALthough when i had blinder on in testing it would alert to 50 percent of the shots from the rear...Although it is very impressive that V1 did alert. Shows once again how great v1's lidar reception can be although we already know that..

Cool vid!

Rear laser is among my biggest fears, currently, as my vehicle is not yet fully outfitted with rear countermeasures......

And yes, there've been recent sightings in my neck of the woods regarding rear laser enforcement.

Rear laser is becoming costly for those involved in countermeasures.

Ok if the beam could be seen at your windshield, how would the LI or any jammer mounted at or below your grille pick it up??

Good video. Perhaps I'm getting old but the language could have been cleaned up though.

Talking Re: AlPiNeStArsLiDaR Video Productions Rear laser vid new (april 29th 2008)

A Laser jamming diode works 22 inches off of center to be safe, although 30 inches is an actual detection zone, the greater the distance from the gun the greater the alarm zone.. And that is at ranges of 500-1000ft this officer shot me further than that, if you can pick up scatter which i gurantee i would have.. If over 1,000ft the beam is very easily traceable, lidar is very easily beatable. The Leo's sure think it isn't though, that was proven wrong by my v1 alrting to him as well, check out the stickers in my rear window.. Which probably reduced the beam to the lidar detector. Although v1 still ate it up. There are still reflections,bounces/glows that occur with lidar just like radar. So it is very possible to pick it up. And having jammers on the rear, although not having them on for this instance.. I hadn't turned the rear diodes on yet, although i know from testing with my own prolaser 2 your v1 will pick up lidar pointed anywhere on the front of your car, if mounted properly and most times 80percent of the time it will alert you to rear born laser. So it is VERY possible that a Jammer would have yes picked up and defeated such a attempt, as i have done this in testing with my very own laser gun.
