Default Headlights on or off for Laser?

Do having your headlights on help cops read your speed easier using laser to track your speed?

It’s better to get a ticket for lights off than a speeding ticket.

.. I guess so...maybe turn them off right before he hits you... would be bad though if he still got your speed and wrote you a ticket for no lights!

Default while

While in the daytime, keep your headlights off so you don't "offer" the LEO another target for the laser gun. While at night, not much you can do but to have your headlights on. Unless it's raining/snowing/fog in the daytime, KEEP YOUR HEADLIGHTS OFF!.

might be hard to do with vehicle with daytime running lights... high beams on during the day are definately not as much nusiance as they are at night.

I see alot of folks, especially after the sun's already pop'd up in the mornings head lights on...

Daytime running lights are seen as a safety thing (especially with insurance companies)... never heard of anyone getting wrote up/stop'd for having head lights on during the day... Now if they're 2,000,000 candle power KC's... then yeah,, might get some grief over that...

You have a serious point here for others. This is a typical tactic i use myself, keep them off you don't need them in the day anyhow thats why the great man upstairs blessed us with the sun. If you need them for saftey you are to concerned, remember you can die anywhere, anytime. If it's your time it's your time, a pair of headlamps to somebody who obviously is a bad driver and not paying attention isn't going to matter anyhow.

Also another tactic i use? Kill switch built in for my daytime running lights! End the insurance company madness! I personally think they are just in cahoots with the lidar companies and Leo's to nab more speeders and point out the headlamps a known major targeting area. Although once again they use the excuse of "SAFTEY" to make you feel all warm inside just like a credit card company about to shaft you with a 33 percent interest rate.
