Default K40 CALIBRE RD850, Defuser eX & eX2

I recently seen a few people with the new K40 products and was wondering if there products have improved from when i used them. K40/CALIBRE always made a nice system and gave a nice guarantee but there performance and function always fell short. I haven't seen a good review of one of there products for years.
I'm wondering if they stepped up there performance so they can finally play with the more well known units out there. If they did they would be a difficult competitor. They have the advantage of good advertising & good fit and finish on there products, I always liked there quality.

I did some searching and cant seem to find any good reviews, just some old ones.

I recently just bought my Calibre and when I contacted K40 they referred me to there website to review there test results on the Calibre. Outside of that I did not see any results worth looking at. I dont know what you mean by there good advertising I dont see much from them as I do others. I think it is because they have been around so long that they rely on there name. As far as my calibre, I am very happy thus far and I have been alerted of many threats well before I see any LEO.

I guess I miss worded "advertising" i meant "marketing". They have a very nice website and point of purchase displays.

I got to see if my buddy can still get there units and maybe i will try one out again.

Which model did you get?

Curious, where did you get your information for you to say that there performance and function always fell short? I did contact K40 about there lack of reviews and this is what they said ( All of there products are tested through SML and SML only, they feel that SML is a non biased organization and most importantly they do not sell RD ) . I would have to agree with them, for example; Guys of lidar, Radarreviews.net, radardetector.net the list goes on and on. Like I said I dont want to give off the impression that I will defend them to all costs but everyone has the right to state there own opinion. I am happy with there radar.

I'm basing my opinion on my experience and updated knowledge. I am also close friends with a K40 & Escort installer and have gotten plenty of feed back on all there models, i could easily denounce the K40 as a poor product but i know that to be untrue in certain aspects of there units. Not much has changed from K40s from 10 years ago and new ones of today.

You don’t need to defend it, its a fine unit and performs well.

Have you been able to do some testing with its laser sensitivity? I’m curious how it does with the new TrueSpeed guns.

My 9500ix does particularly well with TrueSpeed but a few other laser guns it falls short.

Figured i would throw in your post of K40 reviews, thanks again i hope this helps other people interested in the K40 products.

Those test are rubish....... no matter what jammer you have they will eventually get a reading off of you when they are holding the trigger and aimming continously on your car. The whole idea for a laser jammer is to give the driver a warning of a threat and enough time to slow down. What they do not show in that test is the warning the driver is getting inside the car. I believe the K40 dufuser is defensive against the Stalker, LTI and pro laser guns. A test like that shows me nothing, same test different jammer would equal same results.
