Default New Escort RedLine!

This new RedLine is suppose to have unbelievable sensitivity.

Introducing RedLine—the baddest detector on the road. Our team of engineers have created the most sensitive radar/laser detector period. RedLine provides the longest range for every signal out there.

Its twin-antennae design allows it to maximize performance by band, giving you the longest warning possible. It’s also completely undetectable and wrapped in a magnesium case for durability. RedLine. Dual Antennae. Incredible Range.

Dual Antennae Design
RedLine's new twin antennae design introduces an all new level of radar performance. Tuned specifically for each radar band, this approach enables RedLine to deliver the longest possible warning on all radar bands, including the latest "POP" mode.

Patented Digital Signal Processing
Our patented AutoMode logic continuously analyzes all incoming signals and automatically rejects unwanted false alarms. The result is the best long-range protection without unnecessary alerts.

Next Gen Laser Detection
RedLine's multiple laser sensors are strategically positioned to detect even the smallest amount of laser light, including off-axis signals.

Exclusive TotalShield™ Technology
TotalShield technology makes the RedLine completely invisible to radar detector detectors. If you need complete stealth operation, RedLine delivers it.

Easy-To-Use Options and Controls
RedLine is simple to use and operate. Preset at the factory, RedLine is optimized for North America. However, you can customize up to 8 features to meet your specific driving style.

Clear Digital Voice Alerts
RedLine's easy to understand digital voice alerts keep you informed without taking your eyes off the road.

High Definition Text Display
Using the brightest text display possible, RedLine is easy to read from any angle.

Performance Options
Choose from three levels of sensitivity including Highway (full sensitivity) Auto (filtered mode) and Auto NoX (filtered but without X-Band).

Mute and AutoMute
RedLine comes with ESCORT's AutoMute feature, which automatically reduces the volume level during an alert. Or, simply press the Mute button on the detector or SmartCord (included) during an alert to instantly quiet the audio.

Brightness Control with Full Dark Mode

Well... almost any angle. If you mount it high, as any smart RD user does, you can't read it at all, thanks to that stupid lip on it. Idiots.

This is getting very confusing! What's the difference btw the Bel Driver STi and the new Redline?

It seems as though Belscort is offering all of the models as either a Bel or an Escort/Passport.

Price points are about equal with the Bel offering a few more accessories included with the detector which Escort does not - for example, the Smartcord direct wire kit.

Its basically the 9500CI antenna in a dash mount, a supped up STi.

The beer shelf may be a problem but the 9500 series is much worse if you look at it that way. For me its not a problem because you don’t need to see the buttons because of voice alerts, and it only has 4 buttons to remember and not many settings. I guess we will see if its a problem when someone actually has it.
Some Escort dealers don’t sell Bel so they really needed a unit. At least now i can get a stealth unit for cheep if i want one now.

I guess if you were mounting it high on a very tall windshield and you were 5'2" it would be a problem. It may be just fine, and i kind of like the beer holder look.

Note: the top grills are for looks, the speaker is at the bottom for a high mount so they did keep this in mind.

I agree. People need to get one in their hands before jumping to conclusions. It may not be as bad as it initially looks.

Redline as in a tachometer, not color This is the only reason why I wouldn't buy one, but I'm confident that they will soon be offering it in blue also.

All things considered, yes. If it has the performance of the 9500ci and can blow away the v1 with its dual antenna then 499 is about right. Time will tell. For those who want no holds barred sensitivity it gives them another good option.
