I've had my new 9500xi for about a week now. Very nice. I like the way it stores false alarms, displays visual alerts, audible warnings, and displays vechile speed.

I used to have a 8500 but for some reason it kept going off with false laser warnings. One thing I don't like abou the 9500xi is how the display is stright on and not slanted like the 8500.

This is just my opinion on Belescort in general... They sell pretty good detectors and I own one for a back up... I have a x50... but my deal is they are not the best and thats how I feel... I think anyone who owns a escort bought a good detector... but its not for me... the truelock and all that is not for me... I like my radar detector to tell me whats around... I know the falses from the true alearts...but the biggest thing for me is arrows... I'm stuck.

But like I said, Thats my opinion and Im not trying to change anyones mind... alot people feel the same way I do... and alot of people dont, but what we all agree on is it is a good detector.

I have the V1 and love it, the arrows are a HUGE plus. Also I do live in a busy city (Houston) and the false alerts is going to be more on the V1 then the escort sure, but the overall range I have experienced on the V1 to the Escort is a big difference for me, plus the V1's range on laser is amazing....

then again on the escort you are getting ALOT more features if that is important to you...red light cams, gps mark location, truelock, etc....

guess it just depends overall on what the user is looking for

I live in VA where RD are illegal. I own a V1 and I'm considering the STi for the purpose of defeating the new Spectre. I'm not trying to bash Escort, but the 8500 X50/9500i I tested did not suit my taste so I returned them. To me, the arrows play an important role. I was traveling back home one evening (I-95 N.) and V1 goes crazy, Ka band, 5 led's, rear arrow lit. I knew immediately not to touch the brake, just ease off the pedal. Without knowing the direction of the source, I would've hit the brakes the same time the LEO pulls the radar trigger. Try explaining to the officer why your brake lights lit up the moment he turned on his radar. Luckily for me I was able to slow down to a reasonable speed and someone else got pulled over. The arrows serve its purpose in more ways than one might imagine, but without stealth detection from the Spectre IV I'm considering the STi. Just my two cents.

Not at this time, you will need to do it manually.

thank you for your fast response. What i was saying is to upload in my 9500ix the mark locations file back up from his 9500ix- I think this could work or you think my unit will not recognize the file from his 9500ix? This will save me a lot of driving to actual locations.

I will appreciate your comments.

Good question. This may be possible in the future but for now there is no way.
probably wont recognize the file because its registered to a different unit.
