Default Escort 9500i and Sirius Radio

I have a escort 9500i and when it is on it knock out my sirius radio ! I have a 8500 x50 and have no problem with it . I have 3 different vehicles with sirius in it and the 9500i will knock it out in all 3 .

No way to disable GPS, even when its off its still active. I believe Escort can adjust the unit? I vaguely remember someone with this problem.

That's weird, I have Sirius and the 9500ix and they both play nice. I do notice Sirius seems to have a weak signal in my area and I have had problems with it before due to dense trees and/or going under the overpasses (weird string of words when typed under the over - been at work too long)

Something else that may help: Make sure the antenna to your Siruis radio is centered in at least a 1ft x 1 ft section of your roof. I was having problems with that until I figured it out. It's pretty tempting to have it up towards the glass just to keep the wire hidden but it seems to kill the reception.

Sorry for not having revisited this thread sooner.

IIRC, this was a problem noted by Escort - and they indeed have been taking units to "adjust" them to circumvent the interference issue.

Steve, what's the build-date on your 9500i?

I was under the impression that this was a problem with earlier-build units.
