Default Mounting upside down

Question is will if affect anything to mount my X50 upside down. I'm playing with a new mounting and since the bottom is flat I want to stick it up for a while. Just curious what the thoughts are on this.

The 9500I actually has the horn upside down like the below, and the X50 is right side up. IMO the 9500I horn mounted in this way is much more logical. Its more likely to pick up reflections off the hood and road rather than the sky.

so i don't see anything wrong with an upside down X50. On some old Bel units could go both ways because the display can be set ether way.

Especially w/ the inverted display option on the STi. Some mount them sideways in Europe to pick up those Gatso cameras better. I think it's kind of funny looking but hey, if it picks them up better, more power to the person.

X2. its amazing the difference in detecting radar if the RD is sideways or not.

In North America most (if not all) radar is circular polarized so the mounting preference should not matter.
