Default Rev. 6.2 Escort Passport Radar X50??

I just got my X50 back from Escort after it started saying "service required", in my note I asked them to upgrade the software. (It was Rev. 6.1)

I checked what Rev mine is, and surprisingly it is Rev. 6.2!

I've never heard of anyone having this Rev. (Just 6.1 and 6.3), so I'm just wondering if anyone else has a X50 Rev. 6.2??

Yep I do have the blue display, so perhaps Red is Rev. 6.3 and Blue is Rev. 6.2?

I remember their reps telling me that 6.3 is a HW change, but 6.2 is a SW bug fix to the 6.1. So if you send in a 6.1, it will become 6.2 not 6.3.

He told me the bug only effects SOME RDs, so if you don't have any problems with it, don't bother sending it in.

Then again, I have heard a lot of BS from them

You mean a worse ramp up? or a more linear ramp up?

Active, as in when there is a real threat and moving toward you it will jump to a 3-4 and if it’s stationary it will be more linear 1-2-3.

I just got a new Blue 9500i so i will update on my 9500I post my impressions.

I preferred the old ramp up because it was like: Alert ahead so you should slow down to, I told you to slow down!!! I don’t like mid ramp up, so it was perfect for me.
