A majority of Escort's units mounted to the rear view mirror seem to be sloping up, not level.

Yes that is def. true, I had my X50 for 4 months (Now V1) and I didn't like how it mounted on my windshield because its always sloping up anywhere on the windshield of my car. RVM is the worst for X50 and it don't like how long that thing close to my head.

Don't worry about that - that's what I said, too, to a member of my BL/BP Legacy community, when he posted about this particular mounting solution on our Forums, to ask if anyone's had any experience.

The seller reassured my community member that the promo picture was just that - and taken in a rush - and therefore not indicative of the "level" mounting that can be achieved.

I am not sure if you can see those pictures, but that's just from that particular member's initial installation of this particular mount. He said that he still needs to tweak it a bit in order to achieve full-level, but from the pictures, I'd say that he's already pretty close.

Don't worry, "leveling" isn't a true problem with this particular mount.
