Default Escort Passport 9500ci now featured on escortradar.com

Escort now have their new Passport 9500ci featured on their website, available for pre-order at $1,599.95. Shipping is expected in April.

"Adaptive Signal Processing," is the most significantly added new feature over the standard 9500i. "...Added artificial intelligence to automatically learn the source of all signals. False alerts are permanently locked out (over time), while real threats are processed in less than 1/2 second. Now all you have to do is drive!"

ESCORT's revolutionary creation, the all-new PASSPORT 9500ci, is the ultimate custom-installed defense system. The system offers radar laser sensitivity second to none. In addition, we've taken everything we've learned from our award-winning 9500i windshield model, and added artificial intelligence to automatically learn the source of all signals. False alerts are permanently locked out (over time), while real threats are processed in less than 1/2 second. Now all you have to do is drive! The 9500ci is the ultimate balance of long-range performance, intelligent signal processing, simple intuitive controls, and the best overall driving experience ever developed. And, it's an ESCORT.

Now, who will be the first to test this thing?

I'm just glad that they removed the requirement of "professional installation" for warranty preservation.

---

I'd love to see the "Adaptive Signal Processing" in-action, and would also love to see independent test results as to whether this thing is truly VG-2 and Spectre-proof.

I do love its new Control Module...... Drool.....

Is it spec IV proof? If so AND if the ZR4 performs well then I would spend the money.....

Let's seriously hope now that the ramp-up is perfected!

AutoNoX? If you were to live in an area that uses X-band, there is no point for AutoNoX you would always keep X-band on. And if not in an area that uses it, turn it off completely. I like the idea, but seems pointless. I guess to Escort it's another promotion feature.

It would be useful for those in the nyc/nj area as we go back and forth between the bridges and tunnels since nj definitely uses x but not ny.

J.Turner told me that 9500ci has the same audio Ramp-up as 9500.

I emailed Escort and this is what they said;

Thank you, we are very excited about the "ci" as well. As for your questions, here goes.

The 9500ci is a pre packaged product and at this time there are no plans to ship it without shifters included. But you CAN turn the shifting ability off or not install the shifters altogether. Though if you choose the latter please be prepared for quite the volley of alarms and warning messages from the 9500ci controller.

The STi technology was the base design, but we have taken it a step farther. We have increased the range even more! But at the same time we have adjusted the method that the alerts increase as well as retained the original 9500i's ability to rule out false alerts.

At this time there are no pictures to be shared except those found on our website. Once the "ci"s begin shipping I'm sure our customers will provide many photos of their new custom installs.

Regards,
