Default Chad from BelEscort spoke w/ me today

I had a call from Chad the technician over at BelEscort to discuss my X50 getting repaired. All was well in the conversation until I was assured that since the Bel STi costs more, it "must" have better detection than the X50. Folks, this isn't always the case. Both detectors are great models, but to say just because one costs more than the other it's better makes me a bit concerned. The X50 usually shines on k band and the Bel STi usually shines on ka band from what I have noticed but this isn't always the case.

X2. Chad is just trying to justify the hire price.

wilnvr,
Dissapointing to hear about Chad saying something like that. He is the guy I always try to talk too when I call Belscort. Oh, and I'm with you, when you're talking about differences between the "upper crust" rd's you should be careful what you say. My 995 has outperformed my V1 on occasion and vice versa. It's all good as far as I'm concerned.

It seems to me the M4 is better in the aspect that it is more versatile to fine tuning over the S7.
The 9500I has been super tuned and now has almost the same detection as the V1 but falses much less. Plus the M4 has better KA detection than the S7, and that frequency is usually harder to detect.

It’s like comparing an old Sherman tank to a new M1 Abrams tank.

That's quite a statement (analogy) RIP, I sure want to believe the m4 is an Abrams ......I just need that one good encounter to believe in the m4.

RIP,
If I'm not mistaken, the 9500i uses a different type of M4 receiver???? I remember MEM-TEK posting pics of the different recievers and the 9500i uses the M49500?? I also think there is a new M4 coming out for the X50 as well. Based on that I still think the S7 is better than the current M4 in the Vector, X50 and RX65 series!
