Default Python 1401 remote start.

Getting a Python 1401 remote start installed this week.

Its great having a remote start in the winter & summer, always a warm or cool car.
I'm thinking of upgrading to a remote with alarm, but im not sure if I really need it. no real crime near me and i never have anything obviously valuable in my car.

Anyone have a Python system in there car that they like?

Smile Re: Python 1401 remote start.

I'll be installing a new remote start in my new car in a few months. I'm going to add a sensor inside the car which will tell my remote what the temperature is inside the car Keep in mind though that remote starters hurt your gas milage...

Ya, this remote is awesome! I can open/close my windows, tell the temp in the car, set run times/timers, and i can check the status of the car and get confirmation when its locked. Cool stuff.

other than warm up time it wont hurt my gas mileage.

Technically anytime your car is standing still and the engine is running, it's hurting your milage

I forgot that your remote start was made by Directed Electronics. Anything made by Directed Electronics is good stuff. They just started a new company based in Canada. As long as your remote is installed by someone who is MECP certified, you should have no problems with it at all. Their quality is top notch. If you need any wiring color codes or anything just let me know
