Default Bel STI Ramp up Fix

Good news!

I herd through the grape vine there is now a new flash which addresses the audio ramp-up issue with the STI.

I don’t have an STI to send in, so someone else is going to need to send theirs in to confirm it.

You should be able to call Bell and they will confirm it. I don’t think anyone has the fix yet because it just was released the other day. So we have no real world testing, but if its anything like the 9500I fix it should be a huge improvement.

I’m guessing there are no confirmations of a ramp up fix for the STI.

Has anyone noticed in the videos of the STi-R that ramp up is great, well normal? It sounds very gradual. The regular STi as we all know is horrible.

I've got a STi-R and the ramp-up is horrid. It's got the latest firmware too.

It truly is keeping a good detector from being a great detector. I decided to put my V1 back in this morning and take my chances. With exception of the high rate of falses, the V1 is a truly amazing piece of electronics and I had forgotten how much I truly love it. If only it were stealth!

Bel is not acknowledging the ramp up problem. Here is the email I received today from Bel.

Thanks for your interest in Beltronics!
We do not have a ramp up problem with the STi. If yours is not performing properly we can certainly repair it. We have nothing like the 9500i had in regards to the ramp up. If you need to have us service your STi Driver, please call our Customer Service Department.
Regards,
Customer Service Department
