The area outlined in red below is prime real estate for a laser mount with that car

Does it not work better if the attenna is mounted higher to recieve more signal then compared to having it lower? I have had alot of detectors but the V1 is the best I have ever seen.

Yes and no. Laser needs to be as low as possible to work best. The other frequencies work best higher, BUT since their signals are more unidirectional they work fine just about anyplace. The bottom line is that when using all frequencies with one antenna source, it's best to go low. However the RX75/Plus has separate laser/X/K/Ka antennas so you'd mount them accordingly.

We've tested the V1 along side the Bels. It was OK but from what we've seen it's not in the same ball park as the higher up Bels. We're always open to new products coming down the pike, but we won't be using a V1 ever again, unless of course it's reworked.

I feel the same way...I wont be using a Bel or any other detector ever again since picking up my V1.

I believe you misunderstood us. We said we will NOT be using a V1 again. Our tests revealed that it (the V1) has piss poor Ka detection, and these days that's one of the most crucial bands needed to detect. It also lacks a feature set comparable to the Bels. Enjoy your V1 but we would not drive a car with one installed. Hype does not equal real world performance
