Default Starla is Retired: Good times.

After 3 years and 50k miles Starla the stealthiest (and fastest) car I've ever owned has been retired. She logged a total of 51 incursion with law enforcement. The radar detectors punched 25 saves out of 27 incursions. The jammer was 5 for 5. Perfect!

The driver however was not perfect. One missed alert because my music was too loud earned me a ticket for 15 over. (dismissed in court and add a external loud speaker)
Then before I appreciated the power of a laser jammer I snagged a lidar ticket for 15 over (dismissed in court, add a ZR3 laser jammer)

Over the years Starla was close tested against the ProLaser 3, LTi Ultralyte, LTi Marksman, Stalker DSR Ka gun, MPH K band gun, and a MPH X band gun. She jammed every lidar gun to 100 ft except for the LTi Marksman. The Stalker got a 800 ft locking distance and the MPH K band gun couldn't get a fix until 600 ft. In the final analysis it was clear that although the Corvette C6 is not a low profile vehicle it's radar signature was very low profile. It's lidar targeting weaknesses were also very low. We had a tough time getting consistent locks even without the jammer.

These photos are sans the two scanner antennas and the cell phone jammer antenna I had on the side window.
New car coming in the fall or the first of the year in 09. Expect some new toys on that one. Also, don't expect me to ID the car this time, my rather cavilier treatment of my vehicle description almost got me in trouble with some of the local Po Po's. Won't make that mistake twice, and now yall offically have what you always wanted. BIG FULL COLOR PHOTOS OF THE RABBIT! Sux for you guys, you had 30 days but came up goose eggs. Starla 30, the city of Houston and it's surrounding county ZERO.

Sorry to see her go, bro - but that's the way of all things, ain't it?

Here's from one car-lover to another, I'll drink a toast to her memory.

Hope your next ride is just as much fun.

BTW, great "threat/profile" summary.

Seriously, if they only made the C4/5/6 in four-door format, I'd be all over a black one.

This is so sad. Best of wishes, I've always been paranoid about posting too much about my set-up too. What new toys you thinking about?

PS, I'll take the wheels if you'd like part of her to live on.

Thanks yall. Starla got a new home with a sweet garage and a new room-mate. An Orange County custom chopper.

In the end though, all cars are just machines built for a purpose. She had 50k miles so it was time to move on. The new one will be much better.

^ ROFL @ IKEA commercial.

Alas, I'm a car-guy to the core...and this means quite a bit of attachment to my rides.

In your shoes, bro, I'd be shedding a tear, but I can definitely also understand how you can see things the other way, too, and yet still be just as much a "car-guy" as any other, even myself.
