Biggest differences between the STi-R and the 9500ci are that the STi-R has selectable Ka band defeats and a Red Display. 9500ci has the zr4s and the GPS lockout/Speed Camera database with a Blue Display.
The V1 Should Definately be tested against these two detectors when it comes to radar performance.
You can add a ZR4 to STI-R (or use with any detector for that matter).
