Exactly, you need to mount the antennae as high as possible. However; roof mounts can be tricky if you're headliner is fragile. I screwed my trucks headliner up trying to route antennae wire once. Frankly, I'm happy with my Larson glass mount. It works pretty well and I can pry it off without any holes later. If I replace the C6 with an M3 or an S4 I will probably drill the hole and install a true whip antennae.
