Yes, in no small part because...

1. It's light output is much dimmer than the Gen3 guns, making it harder for a jammer to detect. Of course it also has better optics than most of the Gen3 guns. Funny how the industry has gone to cheaper parts yet the cost of the guns to departments has not dropped appreciably.

2. It has the same pulse rate as the Laser Atlanta in normal mode, making it difficult for a jammer to determine whether it's up against a PL2 or an LA. You reach a tipping point where the jammer manufacturer is typically going to have to favor one or the other in their software/programming. At least that is my understanding.

It's an interesting gun - the PL2. Of course it's also relatively bulky by today's standards and only comes in a hard-corded (i.e. non-cordless / non-battery) version.

I'd bet the PL1 probably has even better optics. Anyone know?
