Default Whistler Pro-78 Off-Axis Encounter

The local PD was nice enough to set up a Your Speed trailer near my house again. So I made a run toward it and wrote down the results. The Pro-78 detected the signal almost immediately upon cresting a hill that turns slightly toward the radar. Initial detect was about .4 miles from the trailer, with roughly a 120- to 125-degree angle between the beam and the horn on my RD. It held the signal all the way to the trailer, ramping up nicely as it did. Would have been PLENTY of time for slowing down had the deputy been using C/O. I/O would have been tough without a couple rabbits, but still the Pro-78 did well. It is a very quiet area, so ANY signal in that area means SLOW DOWN. Would have been a nice save.
