If you can get a good price on the STI-R and your primary goal is to lock out all bands but 34.7 than get the STI-R, the 9500ci is not that much better in KA sensativity. The problem you will have is no GPS lock out with STI-R.

Why would you only want KA 34.7 to work? you never ever leave your town and have a tone of KA falses?

If you could get over the selectable frequency defeat option the 9500ci would be perfect.

I did see on a website that the 9500ci has "2) Can be programmed for desired Ka radar frequency used anywhere around the world" what that means I don’t know.
