Third brake lights -- strobed to make them appear really bright yet also to prevent them from overheating. Nicely sets off some RD laser circuitry. The neon lights at Sonic? My old Whistler used to produce a laser alert for the neon lights at my local Mexican restaurant. Valentine should be filtering this out. Maybe they are but are clipping the filtering if the signal appears to be really strong. The sun flickering through bare tree branches in winter can make
any RD false on laser. My 9500i had a thoroughly enjoyable laser false to this a few weeks back. Enjoyable I say because I was expecting it to possibly happen given the near setting sun and seeing the approaching tree line full of bare branches.
