Technically anytime your car is
standing still and the engine is running, it's hurting your milage
I forgot that your remote start was made by Directed Electronics. Anything made by Directed Electronics is good stuff. They just started a new company based in Canada. As long as your remote is installed by someone who is MECP certified, you should have no problems with it at all. Their quality is top notch. If you need any wiring color codes or anything just let me know
